Video editing

Productpromo

People do not buy a list of features. They buy the second the product makes sense.

One product. One promise. The use is on screen, not described to death. The last frame tells them what to do. If they still have to ask what it does, the video is not finished.

The want comes before the explanation. A photo and a caption can hold a simple thing. Most products need the moment of use, or the offer stays abstract.

01

One product, one reason

A promo that tries to say everything says nothing a person can repeat.

The catalog video is a tour. It shows the range, the colors, the extra features, the founder, the factory. Nobody came for a tour. They came because one problem might be solved, and they will give you a few seconds to prove it.

We pick the reason this product exists and build the video around that. Other features can live on the page. The video has one job, and a person who watched it should be able to tell a friend that job in one sentence.

If you cannot say it in one sentence

The video will not find the sentence for you by listing more. We will ask which promise matters this month. A promo for everything is a promo for the next video, not this one.

02

The moment of use

Seeing it work is worth more than hearing that it works.

A pack shot is a start. It is not a reason. The reason is the product in a hand, on a counter, solving the small annoyance it was made for. That shot is the one we protect. Everything else is there to get to it or to leave after it.

If the only footage is a still, the video can still be built around that still. What we will not do is pretend a slow zoom on a logo is the same as showing the product doing its job.

03

The last frame has a job

The video can be liked and still fail if nobody knows what to do next.

Buy, visit, message, use the code. One of those. The last frame should match the button under the video, not introduce a new idea. A beautiful ending that does not say where to go is a trailer for a decision you forgot to include.

We put the offer where a person who stayed can act on it without rewinding. The name of the product. The thing you want them to do. Nothing else competing with it.

What a tour wastes

Every extra feature you add to the cut is a second someone can leave in. The features are not deleted from the business. They are saved for a page, a second video, a question someone actually asked.

04

A photo can launch a product. A promo can explain it.

They are not the same asset, and posting the photo as if it were the video is how launches go quiet.

The photo is the product looking its best. The promo is the product being understood. Brands that only have the photo keep writing captions to do the video's job, and the caption is easy to skip.

If the shoot has not happened, one clean photo is still enough to start. The promo does not have to wait for a perfect studio day and then ship with nothing in the meantime.

Let's talk

Start with whatyou already have

Send the files or the idea. We reply with how the job would actually go.
