If they stay
The open gave them a reason. The caption carried it. The last line is the one you wanted remembered.

A short is decided in the first second, usually with the sound off. We build that second before anything else, then the line you want people to remember.
The raw clip starts the way the person started talking. On a phone that is already over. The reason moves to the front. The words go on the screen. The video stops when the point has landed, not when the file runs out.
The open gave them a reason. The caption carried it. The last line is the one you wanted remembered.
You paid for the filming. The feed treated it like nothing. The story never got a turn.
Reels, Shorts, TikTok. A file you can post the same day, not a project you have to babysit.
Everything after it only matters if that second worked.
People do not award you a warm-up. They are already moving. If the first frame is a logo, a hello, or a breath before the point, they are gone and the rest of the cut never existed for them.
We put the reason to stay in that frame. A result, a problem, a face reacting, the product doing the thing. Then the video earns the next few seconds. A short that opens like a meeting will be watched like a meeting.
You can have a strong middle and still get nothing from it. The middle is a reward for the open. If the open is empty, the reward is never collected.
The caption is not decoration. It is the version they actually see.
A short is watched in a queue, on a bus, next to someone. Sound is optional. If the point only exists in the voiceover, a large part of the audience gets a silent clip and no idea why it is on their screen.
We write the line onto the picture so the video still makes sense muted. Not a transcript of every word. The words that carry the point, timed to the moment they matter. A caption that arrives late is a caption they did not read.
One good cut is not a content plan. A set of them is.
A page that posts the same shape of video, week after week, starts to look like a place. The open feels familiar. The end card is the same. People who already follow you recognize the next one before they read the name.
A page that posts whatever was filmed that day looks busy and forgettable. Busy is not the same as present. The short is how a business stays in the feed without asking anyone to sit down for ten minutes.
Some points are twelve seconds. Stretching them to thirty does not make them more serious. It makes people leave in the middle and teaches the account that your videos do not get finished.
Posting it because the shoot was tiring does not change how it plays.
The filming already cost the afternoon. Posting the uncut version spends that afternoon again, in public, and gets none of it back. Viewers do not know you were tired. They know the video started slowly and they left.
A short we cut is the same footage with the dead air gone, the point moved forward, and the line on screen. You are not filming more. You are letting the footage you already have do the job you filmed it for.

Videos people actually finish, then watch the next one.
Make your video look like a brand, not a slideshow.
A video that makes the product easy to want.
Your logo, moving like it belongs on screen.
Send the files or the idea. We reply with how the job would actually go.
